Product Description:
The HBControls HBC-2Z60D75F is a 72mm two-pole solid-state contactor with an integrated DIN-mount heat sink. UL and cUL listed, this contactor is rated for 75 amps per phase at 42-600 VAC in ambient temperatures up to 40°C, with a linear derating to 38 amps per phase at 70°C. Installation-ready, the HBC-2Z60D75F requires no additional thermal calculations, heat sink selection, or in-house assembly.
The HBC-2Z60D75F supports control voltages from 5-32VDC, featuring an LED indicator to display input signal status. With an input current draw of 13mA or less, it is ideally suited for use with a PLC or similar low-power control circuits.
The integrated fan in the HBC-2Z60D75F solid-state contactor is programmed to activate when the SCR die temperature approaches its maximum safe limit. Once the SCR temperature falls below 65°C, the fan will automatically turn off. If the SCR die temperature continues to rise after the fan engages—due to excess load currents or unusually high ambient temperatures—the contactor’s output will automatically shut down at the maximum safe temperature threshold. At this point, the alarm output will activate, alerting the system to the overheating issue.
Its zero-crossing output circuit uses durable back-to-back (inverse parallel) SCRs, designed to withstand harsh industrial and commercial conditions. The circuit also minimizes initial inrush current by maintaining an off state until the AC sine wave is near zero-crossing, enhancing overall performance and stability.
The HBC-2Z60D75F is a direct drop-in replacement for the Carlo Gavazzi RGC2A60D75GGEDF.
